Responsibilities may include:   
  • Assist with system selection
  • Provide expert guidance for the analysis design and implementation of the application.
  • Review customer requirements; perform analysis, design and documentation of current state and future
    state workflows
  • System implementation, responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of information
    systems utilized by nursing staff, physicians and other clinicians
  • Provide expert guidance and assistance in the design and development of system parameters and
    dictionaries
  • Project management, leading a team of 6-10 resources (company, client and third-party resources) in
    area of expertise to conclusion of a project phase
  • Develop test plans and coordinate testing
  • Upgrade coordination and testing
  • Application support
  • Work flow redesign
  • System optimizations
  • Work with end users, MD’s, RN’s, and other clinical staff to modify system to meet client needs
  • Consults with client to define solutions to needs or problem areas, and determines scope of
    investigation required to obtain solution. Solutions may include installation of alternate methods and
    procedures, changes in methods and practices, or redesign of products or services
  • Prepares written deliverables for client as defined in project scope
  • Maintain regular communications regarding project issues, risks, and needs with client, vendor, team
    leadership and team members
  • Classify problems as system, training, or process and recommend appropriate corrections
  • Status report submissions
  • Demonstrate customer service skills regarding responsiveness to customer requests for support
  • assistance, whether troubleshooting, problem solving, report development, or system enhancements
    and correction testing
  • This is a travel job and you can be based from any city in the USA as long as you are willing to travel
    Monday thru Thursday

Requirements :
  • A minimum of 3+ years Meditech applications experience, including implementation, module
    coordination, and upgrades
  • Experience developing technical documentation and estimation of resource requirements for tasks and
    small projects
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead small groups
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and
    the company  
  • Ability to adjust personal style to different situations  
  • Exceptional client relationship skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 75-100%, usually Monday - Thursday on a weekly basis  

Advantages

  • Varied MEDITECH platform experience (Magic, Client/Server, Focus 6.0)
  • Proficient with one or more of the following MEDITECH clinical modules:
  • Pharmacy (PHA)
  • Bedside Medication Verification (BMV)
  • Electronic Medication Administration Record (EMAR)
  • Patient Care System (PCS)
  • Physician Care Manager (PCM)
  • Order Entry (OE or OM)
  • Operating Room Management (ORM)
  • Emergency Department Management (EDM)
  • Physician Care Manager (PCM)
  • Provider Order Management (POM)
  • Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE)
  • also a plus
  • Pyxis or other medication dispensing system
  • Experience working in a multi-hospital healthcare system
  • Experience implementing care plans, RN assessments or critical pathways
