- Kevin was engaged by Barlow Respiratory Hospital to assist the hospital staff with the implementation
of the Meditech Information System. As Director of Health Information Management, I had the pleasure
of working with Kevin. He assisted the HIM staff creating a successful interface between Meditech and
Barlow’s outsourced transcription service. He created in Meditech report formats for all transcribed
reports as well as a daily laboratory summary report for physicians. He was a good listener and
quickly identified with our needs and produced necessary results.
Kevin was an asset to Barlow because of his vast knowledge of the Meditech system. His expertise of
the Meditech system was critical to a successful implementation. He was designated to lead the
Patient Care System (PCS) Core Team which brought together disciplines from all corners of the
hospital. His clinical background, knowledge of Meditech, as well as his management experience,
were all contributable to the success of the PCS module implementation.
Lastly, Kevin displayed a professional manner at all times. His promises to deliver were met timely.
He really became a part of the Barlow family and was appreciated by all. Most importantly he had a
wonderful sense of humor!

- Kevin and I both participated in several Meditech projects as contracted consultants to assist in pre-
implementation and implementation activities at multiple Healthcare organizations. Kevin’s experience
and expertise with Meditech Clinical Modules, especially the interaction those modules have with each
other, as well as theMeditech Financial Modules, provided his project teams with the knowledge to
build accurate databases the first time and limiting rebuilds that often occur.
That module interaction insight is not always obtained when relying solely on the vendor
implementation/education process. Kevin always exceeded client expectations which resulted in on
time – on budget Implementation projects.
